The Quad – a community gathering space for all
The Quad is a central public greenspace in the heart of Lismore CBD. Nestled between the Lismore Regional Gallery, Lismore Library and the Northern Rivers Conservatorium, the Quad is a public meeting place, a performance venue, a children’s play space, a creative hub and a space for community expression.
The Quad provides a safe space and gathering point for the community to enjoy free activities and performances, hold community events, take part in creative workshops and installations, or simply relax on the grass.
It is a well-loved destination for locals, visitors and tourists. Come and explore Lismore’s creative playground.

About the Quad
The Lismore Quadrangle is the heart of this vibrant and creative city. The Quad greenspace connects Lismore Regional Gallery, Lismore City Library, the Northern Rivers Conservatorium and the Social Futures Clubhouse. The activation of the Quad as Lismore's creative playground is a strategic partnership between Southern Cross University and Lismore City Council.
The partnership between Southern Cross University and Lismore City Council jointly funds the work of the Lismore Quadrangle Placemaking Officer. This role is working to activate the Quad and Lismore CBD through innovative placemaking strategies over the next three years. The partnership will result in a suite of new activities that harness the power of creatives, students, researchers and organisations across the city and the region. A program of work, funded by the University, will provide an opportunity for all stakeholders in the Quad to come together and to develop a shared vision for a program of vibrant activity in the CBD.
The Lismore Quadrangle Placemaking Officer is working closely with stakeholders and partners to program a series of initatives and events. Check out the What's On tab to see what's coming up.
