Quad Party 02

Quad Party is presented by a dynamic new partership comprised of The Quad, FSG, Lismore PCYC and supported by Social Futures Ability Links program. There will be cosy places to chill, games, DJ’s and interactive street art. The events are free, open to young people of all ages, and are aimed at creating a dynamic and safe place to hang out and connect in an outdoor setting. Slate cafe will be open and a free BBQ will be available. What's not to love?
Quad Party will feature prodigious local DJ talent Mr Rhodes, AKA Blake Teddy Rhodes, from the high impact Lismore Hip Hop trio, Teddy Lewis King. Mr Rhodes' sounds, guaranteed to entertain, traverse eclectic genres and are infused with soulful depth and his Bundjalung sense of place. Mr Rhode's tracks will be accompanied by the inspired video hi-jinks of projection artists Ryan Andersen with Zeb Schulz aka 'Big Fat Liar' from Real ArtWorks Inc.
The Lismore Youth Hub encourages partnerships with the common goal of creating safe, inclusive opportunities for young people to challenge themselves in arts, music, sports, learning and just hanging out with friends in a fun environment. Francis O’Neill from Ability Links says: “All of these activities are geared at creating inclusion, because it's inclusion that is the polar opposite of dependency and addiction. Fun times, creativity and challenges enable young people to access their own natural supplies of feel-good brain chemicals. Realising their own powers fosters self-belief and hope for the future.”
