Dragged from the gutter, soaked in moonshine and rooted in tradition. A repertoire of original songs and unique interpretations of traditional blues and roots tunes.
Two Tears in a Bucket are a Lismore foothills Duo/band that formed 3 years ago, a chance meeting at Dunoon Pluckers and Poets saw Michelle and Nathan joining forces with Nathans songwritng and Dobro skills and Michelle’s vocal prowess. They have developed their sound over those years adding instruments such as the banjo, co writing songs and adding other band members when needed…Two Tears in a Bucket have taken there music from Mackay Qld to Bendigo VIC and plan to take it Australia wide over the next few years.
Nathan Petersen is a journeyman songwriter. His street kid punk roots blend with his respect and understanding of traditional blues and roots, add to this an astounding talent for the slide guitar and a growing talent for many other stringed instruments and you have the makings of an upcoming great Australian street poet / songsmith……Nathan sings and writes about what he knows best….surviving on the edge and having a damn fine time doing it
Michelle Fitness is a songbird who can get inside the lyrics to bring out an interpretation straight from her own soul…..from gutsy to fragile, Michelle can conjure the full range of human emotion with a mighty vocal talent.
“I love singing Nathans songs and the traditional songs we have chosen….they have an authenticity to them, a true mirror of the archetypal human soul, from ballsy to broken”.
